Member Requirements & Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

  • Commitment to Service: Willingness to participate in emergency deployments and community service activities.
  • All Ages Welcome: We welcome members of all ages, including youth who show genuine interest in emergency communications.
  • Technical Interest: While not required, amateur radio licenses and emergency management experience are valuable assets.
  • Background Check: All members must pass background checks as required by their state of residence.

Member Responsibilities

  • Deployment Participation: Availability to participate in emergency response deployments when called upon.
  • Maintain Training: Keep required certifications and training current through continuing education.
  • Quarterly Meetings: Attend at least one virtual meeting per quarter via Zoom/Meet for coordination and updates.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and partner organizations during operations.
